Yanez Fine Art Conservation specializes in the conservation and restoration of fine paintings. Using the latest research, methods, techniques and materials in the field, we maintain a museum quality approach to
solving the unique problems that compromise the condition of most paintings. We
treat all paintings with the same quality of care and attention that we would
give to paintings by well known artists. Our treatment approach adheres to the long-standing
philosophy of minimal intervention, as to not interfere with and maintain the
original artistic intent.
David Yanez has been restoring museum quality paintings in New
York City for the last 30 years. He has restored invaluable paintings by distinguished
artists who span the centuries from Old masters to Contemporary masters, while
working for some of the top painting conservators in NYC and as an independent conservator.
Trained as a painting conservation apprentice, he is also a master craftsman
who holds a Master’s degree in fine art and has an all-embracing understanding
of science and the scientific method. All his years of experience and knowledge
restoring antique paintings have been consolidated to currently focus on
problem solving the conservation needs of 20th century to
contemporary paintings and non-traditional artworks.
